StudySprit

Questions, answered

For students and for parents.

For students

Is StudySprit free?
Yes. There is no subscription and no card required. Each tool has a generous daily limit so the service stays fast for everyone — if you hit it, it resets at midnight.
Can it write my homework for me?
It can explain how to do it, check your working and quiz you on it. That is genuinely more useful — copying an AI answer into a submission is both easy for teachers to spot and a waste of the one chance you get to actually learn the topic.
Does it work in Hindi or Hinglish?
Yes. By default StudySprit replies in whatever language and script you write in, so if you type Hinglish you get Hinglish back. You can also force English, Hindi or Hinglish in Settings.
What happens if I lose my streak?
Every week gives you one grace day, so a single missed day won't reset anything. Miss two in a week and the streak starts again — but your XP, level and badges stay exactly where they were.
Can I delete my chats?
Yes — individual conversations from the chat list, or your whole account from Settings or the deletion page.

For parents

Why do I need to approve the account?
Because your child is under 18. India's data protection law requires parental consent before we process their data. Until you confirm by email, they can sign in and look around, but every AI feature stays switched off.
What exactly is sent to an AI company?
The question your child types, plus a short summary of the current conversation so the AI can follow along. If they use the Homework Scanner, the photo is sent too. We do not send their name, phone number or email. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
Which companies process my child's data?
For anyone under 18, only OpenAI. We also use DeepSeek for adult accounts, but under-18 traffic is never routed there — that rule is enforced on our server, not in the app, so it cannot be changed from a phone.
What stops it saying something inappropriate?
Two layers. Every message is checked before it reaches an AI model, and the reply is checked as it is being written — if it turns unsafe mid-answer it is cut off with a visible notice. If our safety service is unavailable, AI switches off entirely rather than running unchecked. There is also a report button on every AI reply, and reports go to a human review queue.
What if my child is struggling emotionally?
If a message suggests self-harm or crisis, StudySprit does not send it to an AI model at all. It responds with a short supportive message and Indian helplines — Tele-MANAS 14416 and KIRAN 1800-599-0019, both free and 24x7. It does not try to counsel your child itself, because it is not qualified to.
Can I change my mind after approving?
Yes, any time. Your child can withdraw approval from Settings, which switches AI back off immediately. You can also email us to have the account removed entirely.
Is there advertising?
No advertising, personalised or otherwise. We do not sell or share personal data with advertisers.
