Why we built it this way
Recognising something on a page is not the same as producing it in an exam hall. Everything in StudySprit is built around that one uncomfortable fact.
01 — AI TUTOR
Same knowledge, four ways of delivering it. Friendly when a topic is new and frightening. Strict when you're nearly there and need the mistake named, not softened. Motivate for the night before. Funny when you'd otherwise close the app.
02 — QUIZZES
Any app can mark you wrong. StudySprit explains why the option you picked was designed to tempt you — which is usually where the actual learning is hiding. Easy, medium or hard, on any topic, in about ten seconds.
03 — STREAKS
Most streak systems punish you for having a life. Ours gives you one grace day every week — miss a Tuesday and nothing breaks. Miss two and it resets, but your XP, level and badges stay exactly where they were.

It explains, checks and quizzes. You can force it to hand over answers, but you'd be paying for the privilege of learning nothing.
AI is confidently wrong occasionally, especially on obscure syllabus detail. Check anything you'll be graded on against your textbook.
If you tell it you're struggling, it stops tutoring and shows real helplines instead of pretending to help. That's deliberate.
Neat, well-lit work reads reliably. Rushed handwriting at 11pm under a ceiling fan does not.
FOR PARENTS
Under-13 sign-ups are refused outright. For students under 18, protection is built into how every request is handled — it is not something anyone has to remember to turn on.
Their requests go to OpenAI only and never reach DeepSeek. The AI is instructed to keep everything age-appropriate for a school student, and to refuse medical, legal and financial advice.
Every message is safety-checked before it reaches an AI model, and replies are checked as they're written. If the safety service is ever unavailable, AI switches off rather than running unchecked.
If a student is in distress, the app shows real Indian helplines instead of an AI reply.
